Phosphor Bronze

Phosphor Bronze is an excellent bearing alloy due to the inclusion of tin and phosphor. Up to 0.50% phosphor offers increased wear resistance in parts such as bushings and sleeve bearings. Strength and corrosion resistance are enhanced due to an upper limit of 4.5% tin. These alloys are also known for excellent soldering ability, low coefficient of friction and fine grain.

    Typical Applications:
  • Electrical Connectors
  • Bushings
  • Musical Instruments
  • Sleeve Bearings
  • Screw Machine Parts
  • Gears
  • Valve Parts
  • Spring Washers
